Proposed Courses

From IS Curriculum

This section includes descriptions of the courses that the task force proposes for the revised curriculum. There are seven core courses, corresponding to the core topics. In addition, the task force has prepared descriptions for seven elective courses. This site has a separate page for each of the course descriptions; please use the Discussion tab on the corresponding page to provide feedback regarding the course.

The proposed seven core courses are as follows:

• Fundamentals of Information Systems

• Enterprise Architecture

• Systems Analysis and Design

• Data and Information Management

• IS Project Management

• IT Infrastructure

• IS Strategy, Management, and Acquisition

It is recommended that the Fundamentals of Information Systems course is the first course in the sequence and that the IS Strategy, Management, and Acquisition course is offered as a capstone. There are no other recommended prerequisites.
