Born on a Blue Day

Born on a Blue DayReview of the Book
27 year old British-born autistic savant Tammet writes a fascinating account of his life as he shares his experience of a rich understanding of numbers. Called synesthesia, Tammet’s ability to visualize numbers in different textures, shapes, and colors has enabled him to solve difficult mathematical problems and helped him to commit to memory the first 22,514 digits of pi to set a new record. He also has the unusual capacity to learn new languages in a week’s time. His story is both intimate and uplifting and highly recommended. Born on a Blue Day is a great read! – Colleen Mullally
