Sonia
From PhD life at Bentley
Hi!
I am Sonia Vilvovsky, a Business PhD student at Bentley College, Waltham, MA.
After completing my B.A. in Economics and Computer Science in Tel Aviv University (Ramat Aviv, Israel) I worked in software industry. I designed and developed the interactive module of a huge network management system, and also have done some freelance projects. The interest to information systems brought me to IT-oriented Bentley College, where I earned my M.S. in Accountancy, and started the Business PhD program at Fall 2006.

[edit] NON-RESEARCH INTERESTS
My main non-research interests are 12 and 9 years old, and enter 7th and 4nd grades respectively at Fall '09.
Here they are on the right ->
Not much time for other hobbies, but at least I remember what they are.
I used to read a lot of poetry (in Russian), and even wrote some. Seems that this my interest had fully exhausted after five years of running a poetry mail list, and editing the New England Russian Poetry almanac.
My another passion (severe condition) is knitting. I knit for almost 30 years; despite two immigrations and countless moves, my yarn collection today is about 75 pounds, so it would be irresponsible to stop knitting now.
Even though my family changes homes way too often, we still love to travel. The latest adventures include Florida, canyons of Utah and Arizona, Puerto Rico, Niagara Falls, Quebec, and Yellowstone National park. This is in addition to visits to Israel, our home country; all our extended family resides there.
[edit] COMMENTS FROM OTHER PHD STUDENTS
Sonia, when are you going to translate your published Russian poetry into English so we can enjoy it as well!?! --Wilson
